Wow, Su. This is by far the best poetry I've read in a long while.

I am that old wall phone
that holds your temple when you whimper
and linger
before putting me down
after what seems like
a string-of-beads prayer 
of wishing
the sudden dial tone
were her ‘hello’ 
instead.
